Job Description

Evolve Treatment Centers is looking for an enthusiastic Program Aide to join our team at our Outpatient PHP/IOP location in San Diego, CA !

Our team provides the highest caliber of treatment to adolescents struggling with substance abuse and mental illness. This position is challenging yet rewarding as our staff have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of teens and their families.

The Program Aid position provides a great opportunity for someone who is interested in or currently pursuing a degree in the mental health or social services fields. In this role, you will gain exposure and experience working with teens that have significant mental health and substance abuse issues.

Our ideal candidate is dedicated, responsible, reliable, and excited about working with teens with co-occurring disorders. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to adjust to the ever-changing nature of adolescent treatment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and supervision to clients in the milieu
  • Provide one-to-one support for clients and addresses areas where they need support with individual problems
  • Maintain vigilance and awareness of the peer community dynamic while monitoring the behavior, activities and safety of the clients
  • Conduct and facilitate psychoeducation groups and recreational activities
  • Crisis Management and intervention when necessary
  • Responsible for client shift notes and group note documentation
  • Facilitate urinalysis testing for clients
  • Establish a constructive therapeutic community in accordance with Treatment Center policies
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years old or older
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Possess good personal and professional boundaries appropriate for a treatment setting
  • Able to remain calm in a crisis situation for the safety of our clients
  • Able to be fully attentive at all times for client's safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Some prior experience working in a mental health setting
  • Previous crisis management experience
  • Previous experience working with teens
Additional Information:
  • This position pays $21/hr.
  • Hours: Must have flexibility during the hours of 9am - 7:00pm Monday - Thursday (8 hours a day), Friday 9 am - 5 pm
  • This is a full-time, onsite position.
