LanceSoft is seeking a Physician Assistant Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a per diem / prn job in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Discipline: Physician Assistant
• Duration: Ongoing
• Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, flexible, on call
• Employment Type: Per Diem

Schedule: Weekday, weekend, and night call coverage needed (varied shifts)

Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-based

Dates of Coverage: ASAP

Average Number of Patients Per Day: Operate on 2/day; round on 5–12 patients/day (ICU and floor); includes consults

Documentation System/EMR: Cerner

Trauma Level/Designation: None

 

Required Procedures:

• Retrieval of Vascular Tissues for Use as a Bypass Conduit
• Endoscopic Retrieval
• Chest Tube Insertions
• First Assist in OR for Cardiac Surgery

Required Duties:

• Rounding
• Coordination of Care
• Assist in Surgery
• Diagnose and Treat Illnesses
• Order and Interpret Tests
• Write Prescriptions
• Suture Removal

Submission Requirements:

• NCCPA Certification – REQUIRED
• New Jersey License – REQUIRED (no time to wait for licensing)
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience, including proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH). – REQUIRED
• Experience with Cerner EMR – Preferred
