About the Position This entry-level position requires no previous full-time work experience. Qualified candidates will be enrolled into Safety's formal training program where they will learn basic adjusting skills and develop investigative techniques in handling automobile physical damage claims. The successful candidate will be an advocate for delivering a high level of customer service, while displaying empathy and a supportive attitude for our policyholders.
Responsibilities - Set up first notice of losses (FNOL) using Safety's proprietary software programs
- Interpret coverage and identify potential coverage defenses
- Gather and analyze relevant information from insureds, claimants, witnesses and law enforcement to establish liability and scope of damages
- Become proficient in using various software and database programs
- Apply Massachusetts Standards of Fault to determine liability
- Identify all subrogation opportunities
- Foster and maintains a collaborative business relationship with our agency partners
- Deliver first class claims service to Safety's valued customers
Qualifications - Requires a bachelor's degree
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Customer service experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment
