Traffic Coordinator

Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Traffic Coordinator for a company based in Baytown, TX. The Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for handling customers with personal ownership and accountability for meeting customer needs and demonstrating appropriate levels of empathy, enthusiasm, skills, efficiency and expertise.

Pay Rate
$18.00-$21.00 DOE

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 4:30pm.

Traffic Clerk Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and continuously update the PBP check in Spreadsheet for drivers dropping containers or picking up containers or live loads.
• Verify building and door for live loads and inform the shipping supervisor to confirm load arrival.
• Verify building and door for inbound supplies with the Supply coordinator.
• Verify container number, booking number and the customer order number during container drop or live load and confirm driver input.
• Input container number into the WMS.
• Verify seal number on container/truck leaving PBP matches WMS before the driver leaves.
• Create BOL’s outbound shipments.
• Send BOL’s to customers, carriers, CSR for outbound shipments.
• Notify carriers of rejected containers and send them photos.
• Verify scale heavy/light tare weights on Bulk trucks.
• Create an outbound BOL with all weights noted.

Traffic Coordinator Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous work experience is required in the logistics field.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel/MS Word
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Previous experience in warehousing preferred
• Ability to exercise judgement to quickly solve problems
• Frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk.
