Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Architectural Designer with 10+ years of professional experience to lead design efforts across complex industrial and commercial projects.

This role requires advanced technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with codes and standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in design production, mentor junior staff, and collaborate closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, client-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and production of complete architectural construction documents with minimal oversight using AutoCAD, Revit, and related software.
2. Direct and coordinate design efforts with Project Engineers, Designers, and Technicians to deliver bid, permit, and construction packages on schedule.
3. Ensure all designs comply with building codes, accessibility standards, and industry regulations.
4. Conduct field investigations at client facilities to inform design solutions.
5. Prepare detailed construction specifications and support cost estimation efforts.
6. Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing deadlines and shifting priorities.
7. Collaborate with in-house disciplines to integrate architectural design with engineering systems.
8. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers and drafters.
9. Participate in construction observation and provide technical support during project execution.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (or equivalent professional experience).
2. 10+ years of architectural design experience with a strong background in industrial and commercial projects.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead design production and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
5. Strong knowledge of building, energy, and accessibility codes.
6. Familiarity with construction cost estimation and observation is preferred.
7. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. Willingness to travel to client sites and work overtime as needed.
