ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Plant Manager, you will oversee daily operations in our Portland-based manufacturing facility. Reporting directly to ownership, you will be accountable for production output, workforce management, and strict adherence to reporting and quality standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role that requires constant presence on the production floor, direct oversight of crews across multiple departments, and full accountability for productivity, safety, and quality. You will be responsible for building a culture of accountability and respect, ensuring trailers leave our facility only when they meet Eagle’s rigorous standards.
The ideal candidate is highly reliable, thrives in structured environments, and is passionate about balancing people management with production systems.
Compensation: $70,000-$110,000 based on experience and qualifications
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm , Overtime may be required, and flexibility is expected during peak production periods.
***The role requires work both indoors & outdoors, year-round, in varying weather conditions. Facilities are not temperature-controlled. ***

Enforce accountability for quality, output, and timelines, ensuring maximum productivity from every team member.
Walk the production floor many times daily—checking in with every employee, setting expectations, and tracking progress.
Oversee day shift and evening crews across Cut Shop, Welding, Painting, Wiring, Decking, and Outbound.
Conduct quality control inspections at every stage of production (welding, prepping, painting, decking, wiring, and final load checks).
Personally sign off on all trailers before leaving the lot, enforcing a 1–3 quality rating system with corrective actions for defects.
Complete and submit production reports twice daily without exception, ensuring accuracy in scheduling, load building, and management visibility.
Maintain strict adherence to systems and processes, with no tolerance for missed reports or incomplete work.
Assign and prioritize work across welding, prep, paint, wiring, and decking, while enforcing safety standards and OSHA compliance.
Partner with office staff (quotes, orders, POs) to coordinate production with administrative functions.
Track and communicate parts, materials, and inventory needs to avoid disruptions.
Oversee loading operations to prevent damage, or errors.
Build and maintain a culture of accountability, safety, and respect across all teams.

You bring 10+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, with at least 7+ years in a leadership role.
You’re fluent in English (Bilingual /Spanish a plus).
You are highly reliable and thrive in structured, rules-driven environments.
You have proven experience managing crews in a production environment, enforcing accountability, and maintaining quality standards.
You are comfortable with constant floor presence and hands-on leadership.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of data entry, reporting, and email communication.
You bring strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, OSHA safety standards, and quality control systems.
You’re proactive, organized, and skilled at prioritizing multiple deliverables in fast-paced settings.
You communicate clearly and effectively, earning trust and respect across all levels of the workforce.
You’re a natural problem solver who thrives in high-pressure environments and adapts quickly to changing production demands.
You are comfortable working indoors and outdoors , in all weather conditions, and able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
