A welcoming afterschool program in Dallas (75232) is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Afterschool Teacher to join our team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with children of all ages and is looking for a stable, meaningful part-time position through the remainder of 2025.Role SummaryThe Afterschool Teacher will provide academic support, lead engaging activities, and foster a safe, structured, and positive environment for students. This role is ideal for an educator at heartwhether experienced or beginning your careerwho enjoys balancing fun with learning and consistency with creativity.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and engage children of all ages during afterschool hours.Provide homework help and encourage strong study habits.Lead enrichment activities such as arts & crafts, games, and group projects.Create a supportive and inclusive environment where all children feel valued.Model positive behavior, respect, and teamwork.Communicate effectively with families and program staff regarding childrens progress.Ensure safety and structure throughout daily activities and transitions.Qualifications & RequirementsPrevious experience with children (teaching, tutoring, camp, or childcare).Experience working in a church or Christian environment is a plus.Passion for working with kids and supporting their growth.Reliable, punctual, and committed through December 2025 (with possibility to extend).High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, child development, or related field preferred.CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Strong communication, patience, and enthusiasm.Compensation & SchedulePay Rate: $18 $20 per hour (W2 position).Schedule: Monday Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.Commitment: Consistent availability through December 2025.Why This Role is SpecialAs an Afterschool Teacher, youll have the chance to be more than a caregiveryoull be a mentor, guide, and positive influence in the lives of children.
