The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Packaging Engineer for a prominent client. This position is located in Roswell, GA . Pay: $40-$50/hr Assignment: 6 month (potentially extend or convert based on performance and budget) Location: Hybrid (onsite Tues and Wed) Job Description To deliver innovative, cost effective packaging solutions to the business which minimize cost, add value to the customer and show strong progress on sustainability and our stakeholders. To understand and strive continually to improve the capability of existing packaging and packaging equipment to better meet customer and end-user requirements. To recommend and support packaging development programs that reduce distribution cost or damage, or provide competitive advantage. To establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers to maintain an up to date knowledge of packaging and packaging equipment developments. Qualifications A Bachelor Degree in packaging, engineering, business, or related discipline is required. 2+ years of packaging engineering is required. Expert level experience with TOPS or TOPS 2 software is required. Knowledge of ISTA and ASTM test standards, ASTM D4169 or ISTA 3 or 2 series distribution simulation tests is required.
