Village Caregiving – Fullstack Software Engineer

Position: Fullstack Software Engineer

What You’ll Be Working On

• Collaborate closely with another developer and multiple stakeholders.
• Fix bugs, extend existing features, and design/implement new features.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health.
• Perform regular and ad-hoc maintenance.
• Work on a healthcare agency management system with many integrations, browser and mobile app components, and HIPAA compliance.

Village Caregiving is a healthcare services agency dedicated to supporting our clients and caregivers. We operate a medium-sized, growing application used daily by ~7,000 active employees across web and mobile platforms.

Our Stack
PostgreSQL • AWS • Node.js • TypeScript • React • Capacitor

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Fullstack development experience, including TypeScript, React, and SQL.

Bonus Points For

• AWS and/or PostgreSQL expertise.
• Experience maintaining business-critical applications or those with thousands of active users.
• Experience with large relational databases (100GB+).
• Experience with PHI and HIPAA-compliant systems.

Soft Skills

• Collaborative, detail-oriented, and thorough.
• Strong debugging skills and systems thinking.
• Ability to integrate technical and business considerations in decision-making.
• Patient, humble, and open to feedback
