Looking for experienced technicians to join their team and help with their current workload. They do all* new construction work on large condo and apartment*
*buildings installing fire alarms.* This technician will be doing rough wiring, drilling holes, banging in boxes, and running wires. They will not be responsible for any trouble shooting or programming. Ideally the technicians will get through 10 units a day.
*Top Skills' Details*
* 3-5 years experience as a fire alarm technician installing fire alarms (conventional systems and addressable systems )
* Experience working in a commercial environment doing wiring and fire alarms.
* Experience with wiring - They will be doing wiring for fire alarm systems working with 18-2, 16-2, 16-4
* Experience with hand tools - Must be comfortable and proficient with a drill, hammer, basic hand tools, and a multi-meter.
* This is a very physically demanding role, drilling holes, banging boxes in, and running wire. Must be able to move quickly.
* Pipe work is a plus
* Programming is a plus (laptop programming or programming through an annunciator)
*We are looking for someone who has an Electrical and Low Voltage **background** to do the installation of Fire Alarm Systems in new Apartment Units. *
*This is a Contract to hire Role. This is doing work in Northern NJ.*
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
