Driver's Education Instructor

Job Description

- Provides special instruction to students in compliance with school-system and program requirements, state and federal regulations. Implements an instructional, therapeutic and skill development program for differentiated learning levels.

- Conducts formal and informal assessments of all students.

- Plans and uses appropriate instructional strategies to include the integration of activities, materials and equipment that align with the accommodations as set in the student's Individual Education Plan.

- Plans and supervises assignments for staff members assisting with students.

- Establishes and maintains appropriate, open lines of communication with all parties, to include but not limited to students, therapists, school district personnel, parents and co-workers. Attends all required meetings and trainings offered by program.

- Completes required documentation within timelines, including recording of grades and attendance.

- Abides by and demonstrates the company's Mission, Vision, and Values, through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of or eligibility for temporary driver teaching certification in the State in which the Center is located. Experience working with diverse youth. A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
