We are looking for an organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating transit operations, ensuring the timely dispatch of bus drivers, and maintaining efficient communication channels. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that offers the opportunity to grow within the transport industry.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the scheduling and dispatch of bus drivers to ensure timely service.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers to address any operational issues.
• Utilize computer-aided dispatch systems to manage and monitor transit operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries and resolving service-related concerns.
• Monitor transportation routes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and manage resources effectively.
• Document and report incidents, delays, or other operational challenges promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
• Track and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement.• Proven experience in dispatching or a similar role within the transportation or logistics sector.
• Strong customer service skills, particularly in call center or high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch systems and related technologies.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to coordinate logistics and manage schedules effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with drivers and team members.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
