We are conducting a confidential search for a Senior Controller to join a private equity-backed organization. The ideal candidate is a proven finance leader currently serving as a Controller or Senior Controller , with experience managing a team of 3–5 professionals. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, operational finance expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a finance team of 3–5, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting and reporting functions. Drive monthly close, financial reporting, and analysis processes. Partner with executive leadership and private equity stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives. Oversee compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit requirements. Implement process improvements to support scale and operational excellence. Required Qualifications Currently serving as a Controller or Senior Controller . Experience in a private equity-backed company . Proven leadership managing a finance team of 3–5 . Started career in a Big Four firm (PwC, EY, Deloitte, KPMG) or a well-regarded boutique accounting/consulting firm. No more than 10–12 years of total professional experience . Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial acumen. Preferred Qualifications CPA or CFA designation.
