This position can be hired as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nursing Practice Specialist or Clinical Quality Leader depending on education.

Relocation assistance provided.

Adheres to the clinical nurse specialist core competencies as defined by the National Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Competency Task Force and recognized by the American Nurses Association (ANA). The CNS practices through 3 spheres of influence, including the patient, unit/department, and the organization. Provides leadership, clinical expertise, education, program development, and consultation to promote the standards of nursing practice. Works collaboratively with leadership to develop criteria for patient care, assess health needs of patients/populations, and evaluate nursing interventions to achieve optimal nursing practice outcomes. Facilitates problem solving and decision making to influence the development, implementation and evaluation of patient, as well as unit/department goals.

Required Education and Experience

Master's or Doctorate in Nursing. A minimum of three (3) years of RN experience.

Required Credentials

State of Washington RN License. Advanced Registered Nurse License (ARNP-CS). Certified as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). At time of hire and as a condition of employment: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions and must be maintained at all times by all nurses unless specifically noted below. Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers. Note: Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position. (ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above.). Nurses working in the following areas are required to successfully obtain PALS within 3 months of employment: Emergency Department, Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Cardiac Intensive Care (CICU), Critical Care Float Pool, Recovery Room (PACU), Operating Room (OR), Interventional Radiology (IR), Pediatric Transport Control, Bellevue Surgery Center, Cath Lab & Special Procedures, and ALL Urgent Care locations. Must obtain PALS or PEARS instructor certification within one year of employment.

Compensation Range

$115,277.00 - $209,228.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
