Overview The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) seeks a proven leader to serve as Associate Vice President (AVP) of Audit Services and Institute Compliance & Chief Compliance Officer. This senior role oversees internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk management functions across Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Responsibilities Lead a high-performing team to deliver best-in-class audit and compliance services. Develop and implement risk-based audit and compliance plans. Advise senior leadership and trustees on assurance and risk matters. Ensure adherence to complex laws, regulations, and policies across Caltech and JPL. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (MBA or master’s preferred). Minimum of 10 years of senior-level audit and compliance leadership experience. Strong communication skills and proven problem-solving abilities. Eligibility for security clearance is required. Salary and Benefits The anticipated and budgeted hiring salary range is $340,000 to $360,000. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
