Job Description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care setting. This role is vital in supporting healthcare providers by delivering patient care duties that ensure efficient, high-quality service and positive patient experiences.

Job Summary

As an integral member of the clinic team, you will perform patient care within the scope of a Medical Assistant license, assist with treatments and procedures, and facilitate smooth patient flow. You will prepare patients for exams, document vital signs and complaints, and communicate test results as directed by providers. Administering immunizations under supervision and maintaining accurate records are key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient care and assist providers with treatments and procedures within MA scope of practice.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in electronic health records.
  • Communicate effectively with referral coordinators to manage consults, exams, diagnostics, and procedures.
  • Maintain exam rooms, manage supplies, and uphold infection control standards.
  • Support a positive work environment by adapting to changes, fostering teamwork, and providing exceptional service.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice.
  • Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise independent judgment, and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
